1. Objective:
To ensure that cargo loaded onto railway wagons complies with permissible axle load limits by verifying weight at a weighbridge and adjusting any overloads safely and efficiently.

Scope of Services:
2.1. Pre-Weighbridge Coordination:
o Receive schedule and cargo manifest for incoming wagons.
o Coordinate with railway and logistics teams for wagon arrival and sequence.
2.2. Weighbridge Operations:
o Compare weight with permissible limits (gross and axle-wise).
2.3. Overload Detection:
o Identify wagons exceeding legal or operational load limits.
o Document overload amounts and affected wagons.
2.4. Adjustment of Overloaded Cargo:
o Carefully open wagon hatches or doors to access cargo.
o Use appropriate equipment (e.g., crane, forklift, manual labor) to offload excess cargo.
o Ensure cargo is handled without damage or contamination.
2.5. Re-weighing and Confirmation:
o Re-weigh adjusted wagons to ensure compliance.
o Reissue weighment certificate or approval for departure.
2.6. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed records of initial weight, adjusted weight, overload quantity, and actions taken.
o Submit daily/weekly summary reports to client and railway authority.
2.7. Safety and Compliance:
o Follow all safety protocols during adjustment process.
o Ensure compliance with railway regulations and environmental guidelines.

3. Equipment & Manpower:
o Suitable lifting/unloading equipment (e.g., crane, forklift, conveyor).
o Trained labor for manual handling if required.
o Safety gear and supervision staff.
